KDE Activities

KDE Activities is a workspace organization feature that lets you group related windows, applications, and virtual desktops into separate contexts for different tasks or projects.
KDE Activities allow you to partition your workflow into isolated virtual workspaces, each with its own set of open applications, windows, and desktop settings. Unlike traditional virtual desktops, Activities are more flexible and semantically organized around tasks rather than just spatial separation.
For example, you might create a "Work" Activity with your email client, code editor, and documentation open, a "Media" Activity with your music player and image editor, and a "Gaming" Activity with just your game launcher. Switching between Activities instantly shows only the relevant windows and restores the desktop state for that context.
Each Activity can have its own panel configuration, wallpaper, widgets, and virtual desktops. You can quickly switch between Activities using the Activities Overview or keyboard shortcuts, making it easier to focus on one project without closing unrelated applications.
